Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast or thighs shredded or sliced
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 4 large flour tortillas or wraps
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce shredded
  • ¼ cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt or mayonnaise
  • 1 avocado sliced (optional)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, toss the cooked chicken with enough BBQ sauce to coat it well. Warm the chicken slightly if you like a softer, more cohesive filling.
  • Lay a tortilla flat and spread a thin layer of Greek yogurt or mayonnaise over the center. Add lettuce, saucy chicken, tomato, red onion, cheese, and avocado if using.
  • Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it tightly from the bottom to form a secure wrap. Slice in half if you like, then serve right away.

Notes

Store the filling separately from the tortillas if possible, then assemble just before eating for the best texture. Wrapped leftovers can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. If you want to reheat the chicken, warm it gently in a skillet or microwave before building the wrap.
