Equipment

  • 1 Large mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Serving dish or trifle bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix 5.1-ounce package
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14-ounce can
  • 8 ounces whipped topping thawed
  • 4 medium ripe bananas sliced
  • 1 box vanilla wafer cookies about 11 ounces
  • extra banana slices optional, for topping
  • cookie crumbs optional, for topping

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk the pudding mix with cold milk until thickened. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk until smooth and well combined.
  • Gently fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture until creamy and evenly blended. Try not to overmix so the filling stays light.
  • In a serving dish or trifle bowl, add a layer of vanilla wafer cookies. Top with banana slices, then spoon some pudding mixture over the top.
  • Continue layering cookies, bananas, and pudding until you reach the top of the dish. Finish with a final layer of pudding.
  • Cover and refrigerate the pudding for at least 4 hours, or until the cookies soften and the dessert sets. Add extra cookie crumbs or banana slices just before serving if you like.
